International students who will be entering 弗吉尼亚理工大学 as F-1 student visa holders must show evidence of sufficient funds to cover their first year of study at 弗吉尼亚理工大学 before the required I-20 immigration form can be issued by the university. The I-20 will be needed for the F-1 student visa interview.
International students who will be entering 弗吉尼亚理工大学 as J-1 bilateral exchange students must show at least $6,000 USD for each semester they wish to study at 弗吉尼亚理工大学 before the required DS-2019 form can be issued by the university. The DS-2019 will be needed for the J-1 student visa interview.

HB (House Bill) 886 was adopted during the regular sessions of the General Assembly in 2014. The bill requires SCHEV to disseminate to each public high school 和 each institution of higher education in the Commonwealth for which the Council has student-level data a link on its website to certain published postsecondary education 和 employment data. 进一步, it requires each institution of higher education to provide the link 和 each local school board to provide annual notice on its website to each enrolled high school student 和 his parents about the availability of such data.
